Pandava Leni caves, The Ancient Meditation place of Buddha

Pandav Leni, also known as "Pandavleni Caves", "Trirashmi Caves".
"Leni" is a 'Marathi' word for cave. These caves are a group of 24 to 30 caves around 1200 year old (some say 2000 year old) Hinayana Buddhist caves. These were built by Buddhist Kings as homes for the saints. The caves are actually "Viharas" (house) except for the 18th cave which is a "Chaitya Gruha" (Meditation hall). The location of these caves is towards the southern part of Nashik.
